Overview

Among the many services offered are:

Manual Therapy - This physical therapy treatment is used to treat pain and disability in the neuromusculoskeletal system. By manipulating muscles and joints, physical therapists work to restore functionality and reduce pain. It is effective in treating and healing soft tissue and joint structure injuries to restore functionality and reduce pain. It is also used to treat inflammation of soft tissue and facilitate movement.

Electrical Stimulation – This physical therapy treatment uses electrical currents to activate nerves that have been affected by paralysis. Electrical stimulation is used for the benefit of issues that have risen from orthopaedic injuries.  The clinic uses TENS IFC for pain relief, iontophoresis for reduction in pain/inflammation, and NMES to facilitation muscle re-education and contraction.

Exercise – Clients are provided with personalized exercise program to help them return to their peak functionality and mobility. This can include home exercise programs to be completed between clinic visits.

Ultrasound/Phonophoresis – Clients suffering from sprains, tendonitis, joint inflammation, plantar fasciitis, bursitis, rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis, among others, are sometimes treated with ultrasound/phonophoresis. It is applied using an applicator that is in direct contact with the patient’s skin.

Cervical and Lumbar Traction/ Decompression unit – For the relief of neck pain, cervical spinal traction and a decompression unit can be effective as a means of relieving muscle spasms and nerve root compression. The treatment allows soft tissues to stretch and increases the spaces between cervical and lumbar vertebrae. It uses intermittent computerized traction to alleviate pressure on the spinal nerves by the disc bulge.

Paraffin – Paraffin baths offer thermal relief to patients suffering pain from chronic joint inflammation.
