For Patients

Your First Visit

There is a welcoming, healing environment at Bratton Physical Therapy that will help you feel welcome and comfortable when you first arrive. We enjoy our work and our ability to help people restore their well-being and functionality, and we are glad to see you.

During your first visit you can expect that we will review your medical history, so bring any relevant medical history with you, including a list of medications you are currently taking. It is extremely helpful if you take the time to fill out the patient intake form under the “forms” section of this website and bring it with you.

We will also do a detailed physical examination to better evaluate your flexibility, strength and balance, among other things.

Working with you, we will determine a course of treatment and you may actually have your first treatment at that first visit.

Be sure to wear loose-fitting, comfortable clothing. If you normally wear glasses or use a hearing aid, be sure that they are in place because they will assist with communication, and that is important at every stage of your treatment.

In many cases, in addition to treatment, you may be assigned a home exercise program.

Be prepared to spend at least an hour with the physical therapist during your first visit.

was very positive, I have
full use of injured arm,
and can do the things I
love to do again."
